Mother’s Day cake decoration…?
I’m making the actual cake chocolate. I want to make it 2 or 3 tier…not too sure yet.
I want to use fondant but I’m not a professional at baking but I can do a lot of things. I’ve gotten a lot better ever since I got my KitchenAid stand mixer for some reason. 
Any who, I’m rambling. Any ideas? My mom is a little sad right now at the moment due to some problems, so I also want something bright and cute…something they’ll make her happy.
I really want to make this cake perfect. She know I LOVE to bake and always has a smile on when she sees one of my deserts

If it helps the best cake I’ve done was a 2 tier cake w/fondant.
& I’m fourteen so I don’t want to give her a boring or kiddy cake, you know?
Oh & what can I add to the cake to make it extraextra moist?
Add sour cream to your cake to make it extra moist. This is the basic recipe that I use: http://www.cakecentral.com/cake_recipe-2322-1-White-Almond-Sour-Cream-Cake.html If you use chocolate cake mix instead it makes a nice, moist chocolate cake. I like to replace part of the water with bourbon, rum or coffee to intensify the chocolate flavor.
Your mom is going to love anything that you make. If there’s something you’ve been wanting to try on a cake, this would be a good time to do it. When I make a cake that’s not a specific request, I always try to make something I’ve been wanting to do or something that I’d like to have a picture of in my portfolio.
